Network I

This course is an overview of networking systems and associated communications software and hardware. Topics discuss include operating systems, microcomputer fundamentals, advantages and disadvantages of local and wide area networks, peer-to-peer and client/server network models, security considerations, hardware configurations, media access methods, network topologies and network planning. (Prerequisite: CIS 109)
